This is probably my favorite time of year for freshwater fishing here in Central Florida, and even though it is still early in the month the forecast for our Florida Bass Fishing April 2023 is looking to be on fire!
In Winter Haven on the South Chain we are catching big numbers of fish consistently along with the chances of catching a true “Trophy Bass” over 8lbs. We are fishing both artificial baits and shiners behind the boat on 99% of our trips and the results are our guests leaving with smiles having tons of pics and laughs during their trip. Flukes, jerkbaits, and swimbaits have been the best bet for the last few weeks and that trend will continue for another week or so until the summer pattern topwater bite gets into full swing then you can add Pop-R’s and smaller Spook baits.
The Florida Bass Fishing April 2023 forecast out of Camp Mack https://guyharveycampmack.com is looking great from the start. The water is lower on the South end of the chain but the fishing is still hot whether you want to catch them on topwater, spinnerbaits, or flipping. The shiner bite is going strong right now too which compliments the artificial bite keeping everyone happy out on the water. Spro or 6th Sense frogs, Gambler EZ Swimmers, SK Pro spinnerbaits, Missle Baits D-Bombs, and Bitters Baits Vibe Worms have all been effective while covering a variety of water from wide open spaces to buggy whips & Kissimmee grass.
